Barbara spent most of her working life in the insurance industry in New York and New Jersey. Prior to insurance, Barbara spent several years in the entertainment industry, where she was lead vocalist in a music group, and was also involved in various television and audio recordings.
Having Darren late in life was a blessing to her. She was so proud of everything he achieved both personally and professionally, all on his own initiative.
